Christmas in March
*not pictured: hat, gloves, wind jacket, thermo vest, leg warmers, long and s.s. skinsuits (l.s. for cyclocross, or for my world pursuit title attempt)
I admit it. I love stuff. New team bikes, helmets, glasses, and... of course the arrival of the new team kit. As in years past, it is Castelli produced. Thanks to team manager Jeff, we do not go without a layer for every 5° change in temperature.

Does all that stuff come with a year's supply of Woolite? How do you recommend washing all that? Maybe a topic for the podcast...
so what do you do with your old, sweaty rags? Do you sell them to your unsuspecting friends and family?
Just Curious.
Yes, yes... what to do with the old team kits. It's enterataining to pull out the stuff from the early 90's (Baleno Kuztom Wear, SWEET neon dude!).
I usually rotate the old stuff to foul weather wear or base layer status, then the bibs go for indoor use. Also, because I'm built like an 11 year old girl, I can usually find some Junior rider who needs clothes - or an 11 year old girl cyclist who needs clothes.
If you are a Junior or an 11 year old girl, give me your address and I'll send you some stuff.
Nice Kits!
Anonymous,
You should be appreciatve of anyone providing pre-owned cycling clothing to you. In most cases it has been loved and cared for to the utmost- as it helps provide comfort for time in the saddle, no matter haw gently used.
